General Electrical Engineering
Area Requirements1
Students desiring to specialize in the General Electrical Engineering area must meet the following requirements
(referenced to the 2007-2008 Electrical Engineering Degree Requirement Sheet):
- 1. General Education, College/Departmental/Pre-Engineering, and Common Professional School Requirements, totaling 73 hours.
- 2. All courses listed under Specific Professional School Requirements, Items (1) and (2), totaling 40 hours.
- 3. Two Core Area courses from a single AoS (not including the Computer Option) as specified on the AoS requirement sheets, totaling 6 hours.
- 4. One 4000-level ECEN elective from an AoS not chosen in (3) above, totaling 3 hours.
- 5. One Controlled Elective as defined on the Degree Requirement Sheet, totaling 3 hours.
Course choices from (3), (4) and (5) above must be approved by an ECEN faculty member.
