Mercury Remote Robot Challenge

The OSU ECEN Department will be hosting the 8th Annual Mercury Remote Robot Challenge on Saturday April 22, 2017 in the Noble Research Center.  The event attracts university teams from around the nation as well as participants form Colombia, Brazil and Mexico.  The challenge is to build a robot capable of being driven from a distance in excess of 50 miles.  The robot must overcome obstacles and perform a mission within a limited time.  To successfully compete the robot must have a robust communications system as well as a reliable motion platform, manipulator electronics, control software, anti-collision capabilities etc.  The robots are judged on the competition, but also on design and video presentations.  For more details please visit our web site https://mercury.okstate.edu/ or feel free to contact me directly.
