ECEN Head, Dr. Teague says, “Dr. Chung has demonstrated extraordinary qualities of scholarship, research and instruction. Indeed, he serves as a role model for many faculty. He has brought distinction to Oklahoma State University and himself, and he has become an exceptionally valuable member of the faculty at Oklahoma State University.”

Dr. Chung joined the faculty of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in January 2000. His accomplishments, particularly in research, have been uniformly exceptional. By any measure, his research performance has been extraordinary. During the past four years, Dr. Chung has published approximately 23 peer-reviewed journal articles  and 36 conference articles. A majority of his publications are in peer-reviewed internationally recognized journals and conference proceedings, which has helped him establish an international reputation for scholarship. Dr. Chung was awarded the Outstanding Paper award at the IEEE EIT 2000 Conference in Chicago in June 2000, and he was presented the Distinguished Faculty Award by Oklahoma State University in 2003. In 2003, he received the Top Gun Award from Shadowband Systems for outstanding leadership, innovations, research and development.
