Dr. Gary Yen receives Eta Kappa Nu Professor of the Year award
Dr. Gary Yen is
this year’s recipient of the Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Professor of the Year
award. The award, which was
presented to Dr. Yen at the Omega Chapter of HKN’s annual fall banquet,
goes to the ECEN faculty member who the chapter’s members feel has been
the most outstanding educator for the previous year. Recent past
recipients of the award include Dr. Jack Allison and Dr. Keith Teague. Also at the
banquet, the Omega Chapter conducted it annual induction.
New chapter members are: Wendy Dougherty, Charles Garven, Jason
Horn, Rabia Khan, Jennifer
Kreger, Nichol Kruckeberg,
Kristoffer Lemoins, Justin Schaper, Anna Spicer, Somendra Sreedhar, Jamie
Staubus and Christopher White. HKN is the only
electrical engineering honor society, recognizing top academic achievers at
universities throughout the U.S and internationally.
As an organization, we are devoted to excellence and scholarship in
our membership as well as dedicated to helping others in the ECEN program to
attain these goals through our tutoring sessions and other departmental
activities. Congratulations to Dr. Yen on this award!
