Results of Fundamental of Engineering Exam for ECEN students.

The following PDF documents summarize the results of the FE exam from the years 1997 to 2003.  Half of the total number of students who we have data for took the exam in 2002 following our adoption of this exam as an assessment metric.

The FE exam is given in two parts.  A general examination covering all of engineering is given in the morning (AM).  In the afternoon (PM) students may opt to take a second general exam or a subject specific (i.e. electrical engineering exam).  The reports detail how well our students performed compared to national averages.  The ABET committee has highlighted areas which are either two or three standard deviations above the national average (AA or AAA), or two or three standard deviations below the national average (BB or BBB).  Within two standard deviations either way is not considered to be a "crisis item".

The following reports compare ECEN students to other electrical engineering students nationwide.
