    b) A breadth of analysis and design experience including both hardware and software.
    c) Advanced upper division courses that permit a student to explore topics in depth

(2)  Prepare students for life long learning by providing academic preparation for graduate study and an appreciation for and excitement about electrical and computer engineering.

(3)  Provide opportunities for students to engage in projects in electrical and computer engineering that emphasize teamwork, communication, and/or engineering design including in-depth design projects.

(4)  Emphasize the importance of professional responsibility and public service in engineering.  These include an awareness of engineering ethics and participation in professional activities, societies, or outreach programs.

(5)  Provide students an understanding of contemporary societal, economic, and environmental issues and an appreciation of the role of engineering on these issues.

A detailed description of each of the five outcomes can be reached through the number for the corresponding outcome.
