OSU Freshmen Admissions Requirements

General Requirements:

1. Graduate from an accredited high school or have earned the GED
2. Meet one of the performance requirements
3. Satisfy all of the curricular requirements listed below

Performance Requirements:

1. Attain a minimum ACT score of 22 or SAT of 1020 or
2. Achieve an unweighted GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 1/3 of your graduating class or
3. Achieve a cumulative 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the curricular requirements listed below

High School Curricular Requirements:

4 units - English - Grammar, Composition, and Literature
3 units - Mathematics - Algebra I and above
2 units - History - must include at least one unit of American history
2 units - Lab Science - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science
1 unit  - Citizenship Skills - Economics, Geography, Government, Non-Western culture
3 units - Other - Select from any of the above and/or Computer Science, and/or Foreign Language

Note:  If you do not meet these requirements it may still be possible to be accepted to OSU.  Examine the undergraduate application for more information
