OSU at a Glance

Oklahoma’s only university with a statewide presence, Oklahoma State University (OSU) is a five-campus, public land-grant educational system that improves the lives of people in Oklahoma, the nation and the world through integrated, high-quality teaching, research and outreach. OSU research, scholarship and creative activities promote human and economic development through the expansion of knowledge and its application.

  • Academic colleges: Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Architecture & Technology, Graduate, Human Environmental Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, and Osteopathic Medicine.  
  • Faculty: Over 1000 faculty members. 
  • Enrollment: 27,000 students (21,000 in Stillwater), more than 4500 graduate students. 
  • Operating budget:Total revenue of the OSU system is 825 million dollars in FY 2007. The annual research expenditure is over 105 million in 2007. 
  • Campus: The 2800-acre OSU campus with near 500 permanent buildings is one of exceptional beauty with modified Georgian-style architecture. 
  • Degrees offered: 83 Bachelor's , 70 Master's, 46 Doctor's. 
  • Degrees granted: 3712 Bachelor's, 800 Master's, and 196 Doctor's (2006-2007).  
  • Athletic: OSU athletic teams have won 48 NCAA championships - only USC, UCLA, and Stanford have claimed more team titles.
